Yggdrasil has had a very successful series with the “Vikings Go” line. What began with Vikings Go Wild in 2015 has since spawned Go to Hell and Go Berzerk.
The latter is the inspiration for the latest slot in this series, Vikings Go Berzerk Reloaded. Offering new features and bigger win potential, Berzerk Reloaded looks worthy of the remake on the surface. We’ll take a deeper dive into this slot, though, to see if it’s truly worth checking out.
The Reloaded version brings back the same 5-reel, 25-payline setup as the old game. You score wins when getting 3+ matching symbols in a payline.
Previous Vikings Go games have included introduction videos that explain the backstory. This version, however, simply drops you off in an icy Norse land with no explanation.
The reels are framed by two dragon-style statues on both sides. The setting is an icy cave that the Vikings have ventured into.
When triggering the bonus, you’ll see a fiery backdrop that’s more accustomed to this series. The dragon statues remain, but the floor is replaced by molten lava.
All in all, Vikings Go Berzerk Reloaded feels similar to its predecessors in graphical style. The main difference is the icy setting during the base game.
Low-paying symbols include a copper, silver, gold, and black coin. High pays consist of four Vikings, with the most-valuable warrior offering 10x your stake for five symbols. You can win up to 25,000x your stake when accounting for features.
Wild symbols (marked “WILD”) substitute for regular pays to completing winning combinations. They also come with multipliers worth 2x, 4x, or 8x.
You can wager between €0.25 to €50 per spin. This betting range allows for jackpots going from €6,250 (0.25 x 25,000) to €1,250,000 (50 x 25,000).
The Vikings Go Berzerk Reloaded RTP is 96.0%, which is right in line with the industry standard. Volatility is in the medium-to-high range. Meanwhile, the hit frequency is rather low at 24%.
If you’ve played other slots in this series, you’ll notice the absence of the Berzerk meters. Nevertheless, the Vikings can still go Berzerk during free spins.

You trigger free spins by landing 3+ scatters (blonde maiden) anywhere on the reels. You’ll receive the following bonuses based on the number of triggering scatter symbols:

Yggdrasil could’ve gone with an entirely new title for Vikings Go Berzerk Reloaded. That’s how much different this game is versus the original.
You still get the same Vikings Go feel and atmosphere. The features, setting, and win potential, however, vary quite a bit.
Judging from the titles, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Vikings Go Berzerk Reloaded is just a reskin. It’s much more than this and even takes place in a totally new setting.
You can also look forward to much higher win potential this time around versus Go Berzerk. The Reloaded version pays up to 25,000x your stake. Assuming you like the Vikings Go series, then Reloaded should certainly be on your games-to-try list.
