Last year, ELK Studios released an interesting game called Tropicool, which deals with vacationing in Antarctica. Now, ELK is back with a similar-titled game in Illogicool. The latter is an outer-space adventure that combines furry aliens with human space travelers. You can find out if this mixture is a winning formula in the following Illogicool slot review.
This slot features 6 reels and 6 rows (6x6 grid) with 46,656 ways to win. Payouts form when 3+ matching symbols land in adjacent reels, starting with reel 1. Like Tropicool, this slot also offers a special Cool Reel that brings extra symbols. However, Illogicol's Cool Reel also delivers regular symbols, rather than only special icons like in Tropicool.
This game takes place in the far reaches of outer space. As mentioned before, it includes both humans and cuddly space aliens. This slot also offers three wild symbols, including a regular, Monster, and Locked wild.
Symbols include card suits (A-J), a computer, ray gun, spaceship, and male and female space adventurers. The adventurers, which can come in either 1x1 or 1x2 sizes, pay up to 2x your stake for six symbols. You can win up to 10,000x the stake when considering features.

Illogicool is somewhat similar to Tropicool in terms of features. However, it also differs in slight ways too. You can look forward to the Cool Reel, cascading reels, Troubles, special wilds, free spins, and X-iter options.
Symbols from winning combinations disappear and leave vacant spaces, which other symbols fall into. Cascading wins continue so long as more payouts can form. Assuming no new wins occur, extra symbols from the Cool Reel fall onto the grid for one last chance.
Troubles (a.k.a. furry aliens) are special symbols that come from the Cool Reel. They turn symbols beneath them into matching icons (similar to mystery symbols). Troubles are also sticky and can spread to other reels. If a Trouble falls on or spreads to a bonus symbol, then it becomes a Super Bonus Symbol.
A Locked Wild symbol stays on the grid for 3 wins. A Monster Wild, meanwhile, expands to cover non-winning symbols on its reel. As mentioned before, this slot has a regular wild too.
You unlock 10, 15, 20, or 25 free sins by landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 bonus and/or Super Bonus symbols, respectively. The themes between these two games are obviously different. However, they also have some subtle differences in the features as well. Tropicool includes wild multiplier symbols (2x-5x) and row swap symbols in its Cool Reel. A row swap chooses a symbol in its row and turns all instances of those icons into the same symbol.
Other than these differences, Illogicool and Tropicool play roughly the same. They both take place on a 6x6 grid, have a Cool Reel, and provide largely the same features.
Illogicool is a solid follow-up to Tropicool. It further cements ELK's original Cool Reel concept and provides another theme for players to enjoy. The features and win potential (10,000x) will also keep most players happy.
The only downside to this game is the usage of Cluster Slide-like aliens and the realistic human depictions. The contrast comes off as badly as inserting Star Trek characters into Sponge Bob. We're used to seeing the best of the best when it comes to ELK Studios' graphics.
Other than this downside, though, Illogicool is an otherwise good game. It has the features and gameplay to keep you entertained for a while. That said, we recommend giving Illogicool slot at least one try.
