Play’n GO has experienced much success with the Reactoonz series. Reactoonz, Reactoonz 2, and Dr Toonz have all have been successful games. Play’n GO is looking to recreate this magic once again with Gigantoonz.

Gameplay

Gigantoonz features an 8x8 grid with cluster payouts. You form wins when 6+ matching symbols are in a cluster. A cluster tracker called the “Quantumeter” (discussed later) sits on the right side of the grid.

Payouts and Max Win Potential

Symbols fall into one of the following two categories:

• Five one-eyed Toonz that offer payouts ranging from 5x to 20x the stake for a cluster of 30+ symbols.
• Five two-eyed symbols that pay between 50x and 1,250x the stake for a cluster of 30+.

You can win up to 4,000x your stake when accounting for features. Also, winning symbols disappear through a cascading mechanism and allow new icons to fall into their places. Cascading wins continue until no more payouts can form, at which point the round ends.

RTP, Volatility and Betting Options

You can bet between €0.20 and €100 per spin. The Gigantoonz RTP is 96.25%, which is slightly above average. Online casinos can choose lower RTP figures, however, so you should check the info screen. Play’n GO rates the volatility at 10 out of 10, which means It's very unpredictable.

Quantum Wild Symbols

A non-winning round can result in 5-10 Quantum Wilds landing on the grid. These wilds perform the usual duty of subsisting for regular pays.

Quantumeter

Every winning symbol adds 1 charge to the Quantumeter. Mega Symbols, however, increase the cluster value. The Quantumeter delivers modifiers at the following charge intervals:

• Disitegration (25 charges) - Removes all instances of four random symbols.
• Megamophosis (50 charges) - Changes all instances of a symbol into a different icon, including Mega Symbols.
• Radiation (75 charges) - Places 2-5 Quantum Wilds and 1-4 Mega Symbols into random spots.
• Gargantoonz (100 charges) - Mega Symbols become Mega Gargantoonz, and 2-4 Mini Gargantoonz (1x1) land on the reels. The Mega version eventually breaks down into Mini Gargantoonz, which then vanish through the cascading mechanism.

Final Thoughts on Gigantoonz Slot

No Reactoonz game has matched the original in terms of innovativeness and entertainment. While the other slots have experienced commercial success, none have dethroned the first one. Gigantoonz won’t be the exception either, but it’s still a solid game in its own right.

This slot does a nice job of simplifying the gameplay. Reactoonz 2 drew some criticism for its overly complicated gameplay and features. Gigantoonz, meanwhile, offers some advanced elements without going over the top.

The only complex aspect involves the Mega Symbols’ payouts. You’ll receive a value worth up to 13x for each individual position within the Mega Symbol. However, this aspect doesn’t take too long to understand.

The Quantumeter and its various modifiers are also fairly easy to understand. You can really boost payouts when reaching 75 or 100 charges on this meter.

In summary, we don’t think that Gigantoonz tops Reactoonz in any way. Nevertheless, it’s a solid online slot that should keep you entertained a while. You may not have the chance to get rich playing this game, but you’ll at least have fun with all the features.
