A round begins with a 5x5 grid (Level 1). However, the grid can grow to 6x6, 7x7, and 8x8 through Levels 2, 3, and 4-8, respectively.
Similar to Pirots, Dam Beavers has 4 characters that have different-colored clothing (blue, green, orange, red). Each character collects symbols that match its color when possible. For example, the beaver wearing green collects the (green) watermelons. A character must have a clear path up, down, or adjacent (not diagonally) to grab its corresponding symbols. It can't collect anything when blocked by different-colored fruits or other characters.
The Level 1 setting is the inside of the beavers’ home. These must be talented builders because their house has wooden planks, a ladder, and furniture. Dam Beavers features multiple other settings at different levels, which keeps the atmosphere entertaining.
Regular symbols include different types of fruits that correspond to each beaver’s outfit color. They start with values ranging from 0.05-1x the stake at Level 1. You can upgrade their values to between 5-50x at Level 8. The Dam Beavers max win is 10,000x the stake, which is above average compared to other online slots.
The Dam Beavers RTP is 94.0% with no alternative settings available. Volatility is high due to the above-average max payout and several features. The betting range runs from €0.20 to €100 with X-iter options available (covered later).
You can look forward to several features in Dam Beavers, including feature symbols, a Feature Meter, free spins, and X-iter. The feature symbols are especially interesting because there are six available.
You will see the Feature Meter running alongside the top of the reels. This bar fills as beavers collect fruits and wild symbols. Three playing cards sit to the right of the meter, with one of the cards being face up. The other cards flip over when you fill the bar, and they offer one or more of the following features:

Regarding the latter, we enjoyed progressing through levels and seeing the different settings. Dam Beavers feels like multiple online slots in one at times. Its animations are also fun, especially as you watch the beavers chow down on fruits and move across the board like a Pac-Man game.
Downsides to this slot include 94% RTP and 24% hit frequency. The former is unfortunately becoming common with ELK Studios slots RTP. The below-average hit frequency means that you’ll see plenty of empty spins, which are even more painful when you watch animations play out with no ending payoff.
