Ted, a 2012 movie about a crude teddy bear and his owner, John Bennet, was a box-office hit. In turn, Blueprint Gaming developed a hit slot based on this film in 2017.
Now, Blueprint is back with an updated version called Ted Megaways. This game promises up to 117,649 ways and a 50,000x top win. We’ll cover if these updates ultimately make Ted Megaways better than the original version.
The big change to the first Ted slot is the Megaways format. The first release featured five reels and just 20 paylines.
Ted Megaways, however, offers six reels and anywhere 324 and 117,649 ways. Reels 1 and 6 hold between two and seven symbols, while reels 2 through 5 contain between two and six icons.
A 1x4 row runs across the top of reels 2 through 5. When every reel holds their max number of symbols, you can look forward to 117,649 ways.
Wins form when matching symbols land in adjacent reels. All payouts must start in the first reel and move left to right.
This slot also offers cascading wins. Symbols from winning combinations explode and allow other icons to take their vacant places. This process continues until no new payouts can form.
The background features Ted in a green living room. Just like in the first game, the bear spouts off one-liners from the movie. Assuming you like the foulmouthed humor from the movie, then you should enjoy this aspect.
Low pays include royals ranging from A through 9. High-paying symbols consist of a beer bottle, duck, Ted logo, and Tami-Lynn.
