Known for their unique combination of heavy metal, punk rock and thrash metal, Motörhead is one of the most-famous bands of all time. Featuring Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister (singer/base), Larry Wallis (guitar/songwriter), and Lucas Fox (drummer), this band produced some very notable albums like Ace of Spades, Bomber and Overkill.
Considering Motörhead’s accomplishments over its 40-year career, NetEnt decided that they’d be perfect for the third band in their “Rock Series” slot trilogy. Motörhead slot is due out on September 22, and you can see a preview of what to expect below.
One notable change from the first two games in the Rock Series – Jimi Hendrix and Guns ‘N Roses (GNR) – is Motörhead’s reel setup, which is 3-3-4-4-5.
This makes for 76 paylines, although Motörhead seems more like a 20-payline game since the minimum bet is €0.20 per spin. You can change your coin value from €0.01 to €1.00, which makes for a max bet of €20.00.
Despite the funky reel setup, this plays like any other online slot, where you push the spin button and try to form winning paylines. But one thing that separates Motörhead from most slots, including GNR and Jimi Hendrix, is the energy that it brings to the reels. Wins are highlighted by flashing stage lights and Lemmy belting out lyrics or phrases.
Rock Mode – If you turn Rock Mode on, Motörhead will play music in the background throughout the game. You can turn the music off at any time by clicking the button again.
Mystery Reel – This is a stacked reel featuring the same symbol. One or more Mystery Reel(s) occurs on every spin.
Bomber Feature – Red warning sirens go off, then bombs start hitting the reels and creating clusters of wild symbols. Up to 5 bombs can occur during this feature.
Free Spins – Landing 3 or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels activates 10 free spins. You’ll see more Mystery Reels filled with wilds during the free games.
Through its high-energy atmosphere and great features, Motörhead proves a worthy member of NetEnt’s Rock Series. We like how you can turn the band’s music on/off, and that stage lights flash whenever you hit a winning combination. We also think that the Bomber feature is cool since it incorporates one of Motörhead’s biggest albums/songs onto the reels. If you’ve liked NetEnt’s Rock Series so far, then this is another game that you’re sure to enjoy.
You can play Motörhead for fun here on its releaseday or play other NetEnt slots for fun until then.
