Never one to go the conventional path, Nolimit City is back with another original slots theme. Gluttony is a game revolving around a man who can’t stop stuffing his face at restaurants.
NLC has a habit of making oddball concepts into entertaining online slots. Let’s discuss if they’ve pulled off this impressive feat yet again in the following Gluttony slot review.
This slot features a 5x5 grid with up to 3,125 ways to win. Payouts during the base game occur when matching symbols appear in adjacent reels, beginning with the first reel. As explained later, the FEDCON 1 bonus has a different system for delivering wins.
Any winning combination results in tumbling reels, where the involved symbols disappear. Symbols from above fall into their open spaces, thus providing another chance to win. Tumbling reels continue until no more payouts are possible.
Gluttony takes place in an atmospheric diner, complete with furniture and low lights. But this classy restaurant is mostly empty, maybe because other diners can’t stomach the man cramming food into his mouth. The bonus round offers a more private dining room with daylight shining through. Once again, though, the greedy eater cheapens the scene by chowing down on everything in sight.
Low-paying symbols include 5 different plates with healthy food (eg, vegetables). Higher pays consist of bad dieting foods, such as pizza and hamburgers. The highest-paying regular symbol delivers 10x the stake for five matches. You can win up to 32,000x your stake, which is quite a large maximum payout.
A roasted chicken serves as the wild symbol. Marked with a “W,” it substitutes for any of the standard symbols to create wins.
The highest Gluttony slot RTP is 96.09%, which is typical for the online slots industry. However, alternative payout percentages drop to 94.03% and 92.02%. You can avoid these settings by checking the pay table at the given casino before playing.

An xZone Sauce symbol provides each regular or wild symbol adjacent to it with a +1 multiplier boost. Only one xZone Sauce icon can land in a reel, but multiple sauce symbols can appear in the same row.
These special wild symbols land in reels 2-5 in the Order Up! or FEDCOIN 1 features. When part of a win, a Wild Pot symbol tries to grab food symbols either vertically or horizontally. Its multiplier goes up by +2 when collecting a high pay, while it increases by +1 for a low pay. The pot will also become sticky for another potential win when grabbing a food symbol.
One Golden Bell symbol landing will provide 2 respins and a 2x multiplier. You’ll get another +2 respins and a 4x multiplier if another Golden Bell icon lands during a respin. As mentioned before, you trigger FEDCON 1 with three of these bell symbols.
Once in the Order Up! bonus, every Golden Bell symbol delivers +2 free spins and a 2x multiplier boost. You can also move up to FEDCON 1 if a Golden Bell hits when a 4x multiplier is present.
This bonus features the fat diner in the grid’s middle position, which is where all wins start (a.k.a. “Crosslink Wins”). You can level up in this bonus, at which point you’ll receive +2 free spins. Additionally, the eater gets a +1 multiplier boost and provides a respin. As for leveling up, you’ll reach levels 2, 3, 4, and 5 when collecting 20, 30, 40, and 50 winning symbols, respectively.

Glutton has the same edginess as many other Nolimit City slots, such as Walk of Shame and Benji Killed in Vegas. Therefore, you should be right at home with another abstract theme if you like NLC games.
However, it’s also quite incomparable to Nolimit’s collection—or other developers for that matter—in certain ways. The FEDCON 1 bonus and its Crosslink Wins system are new. That said, you get some new mixed in with another weird, but unique, theme from Nolimit.
Whacked, the last NLC slot release, isn’t an overly inventive game. Gluttony is the exact opposite with Crosslink Wins and a horde of bonuses. Nolimit has done a good job of combining its wild thematic style with a unique payout mechanic.
On the downside, a guy shoveling food down his gullet may not appeal to everybody. You also must look out for the lower payout settings, which can really hasten the pain of 5/5 volatility.
Outside of these concerns, though, Gluttony is a very worthwhile slot and one that we highly recommend. If you can stomach the theme, you should enjoy this game.
