Demon is a five-reel, 30-line slot from Play’n GO. It’s based on an English rock band of the same name. Demon doesn’t have anywhere near the fame of Guns N’ Roses, Motorhead, and KISS — each of which also has a branded online slot. In fact, we’d actually never heard of this band prior to Play’n GO designing a game after them.

This slot definitely won’t get by on name recognition alone. That said, we’re going to cover if Demon has other aspects that make it playable.

Gameplay and Atmosphere

The background carries a very demonic theme (hence the name), with chains, monsters, mountains, and various shades of red. The see-through reels showcase a pentagram that lights up after payouts.

Loud music from Demon also plays throughout the game. Seven songs are available from the start, with an eighth tune available after you’ve played 100 real-money spins. If you’re a fan of heavy metal with a satanic twist, then you should appreciate everything going on here.

Symbols include a Baphomet, masked demon, female stone statue, band member, gold mirror with an eyeball, and royals (A through 10). The Baphomet is wild and substitutes for all other icons to form wins. The band member pays the most at 10x your bet for five symbols.

Return to player (RTP) for this slot ranges from 94.50% to 96.50%. Casino operators have the ability to choose which RTP they want. The 96.50% payback is good, but the 94.50% RTP is very poor for an online slot.

Few people are going to play this game based on its association with a no-name band. But Demon can appeal to a specific crowd that enjoys edgy heavy metal.

It also has some decent features, including two types of free spins and the wild mask. Demon slot doesn’t change the game with these bonuses, but it does offer enough free spins to keep things entertaining.
