Released in 2018, Jammin’ Jars is one of the biggest Push Gaming hits of all time. In an age when some developers release sequels just months after the original, Push Gaming waited quite some time to drop Jammin’ Jars 2.
The good news, though, is that this slot is finally here. As you’ll see in the following review, the sequel is every bit as good as the original—and then some.
Jammin’ Jars 2 brings back the same 8x8 grid as the original. It delivers wins when clusters of 5+ symbols connect.
Symbols light up and then disappear from the reels. Icons fall from above to take their empty places (a.k.a. avalanche feature). If you’ve played the original game before, then none of this will be new to you.
The atmosphere is one element that has changed. The original game is set against what looks like the covering of a disco ball.
Jammin’ Jars 2, meanwhile, offers a tropical nightclub theme. Giga Jar DJ sits on the left side of the reels keeps the club jumping.
The background also shows a dance floor, palm trees, and neon-fruit wall decals. Overall, we like how Push Gaming added more detail to the backdrop this time around.
Regular pays consist of various fruit symbols, including a berry, melon, pineapple, and pomegranate. The berry awards the most out of this bunch at 1,000x your stake for a cluster of 32+ symbols.
You can win up to a massive 50,000x your stake with features included. We thought that Jammin’ Jars offered a huge top win (20,000x), but the sequel definitely beats it in this regard.
A Wild Jam Jar substitutes for any other regular pay to create winning combinations. The Wild Jam Jar also stays on the grid when it helps form payouts—unlike other symbols—and sees its win multiplier increase by 1x.
It switches positions following each win and remains on the grid until the round ends. The jar will, however, stay on the grid throughout an entire bonus round (covered later).
You can wager anywhere from €0.10 to €100 per spin. This betting range creates potential jackpots worth between €5,000 (0.1 x 50,000) to €5 million (100 x 50,000).
The maximum Jammin’ Jars 2 RTP is 96.6%, which is above average. As you’ll see in the “Features” section, you must work up to this payback by collecting gold vinyl records.

Again, a jar changes positions when it stays on the reels as well. It hangs around throughout base-game rounds so long as wins keep coming.
Each wild jar begins the round with a win multiplier of 1x. Its multiplier continues increasing every time that it’s part of another win. As you’ll see later, the Wild Jam Jar also serves as the scatter symbol.
This feature can happen randomly following any avalanche win. Fruit Blast sends either an instant payout or oversized fruit symbol onto the grid.
You’ll then either receive the instant prize or get a variable payout based on how many symbols the oversized symbol connects with.
You trigger 6 free spins when landing 3+ Wild Jam Jars anywhere on the reels. Jam jars stay on the reels throughout free spins, rather than disappearing after rounds like in the base game. Furthermore, their multipliers will also continue increasing until this bonus ends.
When a gold vinyl record symbol lands in the base game, it goes into Giga Jar DJ’s collection meter. A random pay takes the place of the vacant space where the vinyl record was.
These record symbols go towards leveling you up and increasing the RTP. You can see the different levels below:

The one thing that the original has over Jammin’ Jars 2 is higher RTP. Jammin’ Jars offers 96.83% RTP, as opposed to the sequel’s variable payback ranging from 96.1% to 96.6%.
Push Gaming had a tough task on their hands in reproducing a highly popular classic. This developer has done the unthinkable in making Jammin’ Jars 2 even better than the first one.
The sequel pumps up the win potential, delivers more features, and provides a more-detailed atmosphere. All in all, it’s simply a better game, which is saying a lot considering how good Jammin’ Jars is.
The only downside is that the RTP has been turned down. Nevertheless, the payback is still respectable enough to where this drawback isn’t too glaring.
If you like Jammin’ Jars, then you’re going to love the second one. You’ll probably enjoy Jammin’ Jars 2 even if you haven’t played the original.
