Push Gaming has released plenty of hits over the years but none arguably bigger than Jammin’ Jars in 2018. Therefore, it’s not surprising that Push Gaming is going back to the same idea with Giga Jar Cluster Link.

This developer already has an official sequel in Jammin’ Jars 2. Giga Jar Cluster is an unofficial sequel to Jammin’ Jars 2 regarding the looks and features. We’ll discuss how it compares in the following Giga Jar Cluster Link review.

Gameplay

This slot plays out on a 7x7 grid and offers cluster pays. You need a cluster of 5+ matching symbols to form a win. All winning symbols vanish from the grid, thus creating an avalanche effect. The avalanches continue until no more wins are possible, at which point a new round begins.

Giga Jar Cluster Link looks like Jammin’ Jars 2 in terms of graphics and atmosphere. In fact, the same jar DJ is back from the second game.

A Wild Jar serves as the wild symbol and will substitute for any regular icon. You unlock the first Wild Jar by getting three consecutive avalanche wins. A second and third Wild Jar are also possible by pulling off the same feat. Wild Jars stay on the grid after helping form a win, and they jump to new positions before the next avalanche.

These jars also come with a win multiplier, which starts at 1x. A Wild Jar’s multiplier increases by +1 following a win and continues doing so until the round ends.

Giga Jar

You unlock a Giga Jar Meter after activating 3 Wild Jars. You’ll need another three consecutive winning avalanches to fill the meter and trigger Giga Jar. When doing so, a 2x2 Giga Jar symbol lands on a random position and becomes sticky. It consists of four 1x1 positions and comes with a 1x starting multiplier.

The Giga Jar symbol remains active for three avalanches, at which point it shuts down. However, you can reactive the Giga Jar icon by getting another three straight avalanche wins. Each reactivation causes the Giga Jar symbol’s multiplier to increase by 50x. You’ll benefit from this feature until no more winning clusters are possible.

How does this Game Compare to the Jammin’ Jars Series?

Giga Jar Cluster Link doesn’t come with quite the win potential as Jammin’ Jars (20,000x) or the sequel (50,000x). Nevertheless, it still offers a solid 10,000x maximum win.

This game has a more vibrant feel than the two Jammin’ Jars slots. Its graphics and atmosphere are really polished and look improved, even compared to the visually appealing Jammin’ Jars 2.

Final Thoughts about Giga Jar Cluster Link Slot

One problem with Jammin’ Jars 2 is that its high volatility means wins come less often. Giga Jar may not have the incredible win potential of Jars 2, but it does solve the volatility issue. Its medium volatility leads to more frequent wins, Wild Jars, and other features.

We had a more enjoyable time playing Giga Jar Cluster Link due to its increased action. Rather than waiting around for something to happen, we were consistently getting wins and features.

In summary, Giga Jar Cluster Link slot doesn’t offer as big of wins as the Jammin’ Jars games. However, it does correct the issue of Jammin’ Jars 2, where features and wins are harder to come by. Therefore, we highly recommend Giga Jar and think that it’s on par with the original Jammin’ Jars.
