Dragon’s Story is one of NextGen Gaming’s newest online slot machine games. As its title suggests, this slot is fantastical in theme, and mystical in gameplay. NextGen Gaming have chosen a cartoony design for this dragon themed slot, which contains their Super Bet feature, about which we’ll discuss a little more shortly.

Dragon’s Story is your customary 5-reel, 25-payline video slot, although unlike some of this company’s older, less flashy titles, the images in this game have been designed using decent 3D quality graphics. Dragon’s Story has plenty of special features to keep you occupied, and comes with fairly decent pay rates, too.

Gameplay and wagering

Wagering is pretty primitive in Dragon’s Story. Players will be at liberty to adjust the value of their coins to anything from 0.01 up to 2.00. All 25 paylines are fixed into place, though, and you can only stake 1 coin per line. What you are going to find with Dragon’s Story are minimum and maximum wagers of 0.25 per spin, and a lowly 50.00 per spin, respectively.

A Dragon’s Story Special features

Let’s discuss the wild first. It is the big red dragon. When wilds appear anywhere on the reels, they will substitute themselves for all other icons in game, save for scatter icons. Wilds can also see you pocket the non-progressive jackpot of 2,000 coins, if you land 5 of them on any payline.

Now, about that Super Bet feature we talked of earlier. This is a side-bet which can be turned on by the player, and it will cost a little bit more than your base stake. What it gives you depends on what you wager. For 25-coin wagers, you get enhanced wilds on the third reel, whilst you also get them on the second and fourth reels for 35-coin stakes. Bet the 50-coin limit, and you’ll get enhanced wilds on all of the reels. But what does enhanced wilds actually mean? Basically, it means that you’ll get more wilds flooding the reels than normal; that is all.

If a player pockets 2 or more scatters, they’ll bag scattered wins, whilst 3 or more scatter icons triggers a free games feature. You’ll get a total of 10 free games with all wins doubled. During the free spins game, wilds are again more likely to appear on the reels than in the base game.

Lastly, there is a Brave Sir William bonus round, which can be randomly triggered after any spin. When it is, you’ll have the chance to land some instant win prizes in a bizarre second screen game.
